Welcome to Woody's Wood Works. My love of woodturning started when I was in 9th grade and first used a lathe. I rediscovered my love of woodturning a few years ago when I purchased a large lathe and began making items as a hobby. I started out by making custom pens for friends and co-workers, and soon found my pens were in great demand. Today, my pens sell as fast as I can make them. I soon progressed to making bowls, urns, goblets, platters, napkin rings, candleholders, perfume bottles, wine bottle stoppers, lamps, and other custom pieces. For example, I recently turned a miniature wooden bat out of Black Walnut, to be engraved with the name and birth date of the buyer's newborn son. I recently turned 3 large wooden trophies for an upcoming Motorcycle show. I enjoy custom lathe work of any kind. In late 2004, I started my business - Woody's Wood Works. I am a member of the American Association of Woodturners and the Loess Hills Woodturners Club.
